In today’s edition:

  • A Tampa Bachelor party

  • And more…

It’s Been A Minute

It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve posted on here.

I’ve been busy with work, traveling, living life, whatever.

No excuse.

I’m going to post consistently every Sunday from now on, so if you have anything you’d like me to talk about (places to try, areas to live in, nightlife, restaurants, etc) just let me know!

Let’s dive in:

A Tampa Bay Bachelor Party

I had someone DM me the other day saying they have a bachelor party planned in Tampa, and they wanted my opinion on some fun things to plan for the weekend.

Here’s how I would plan a Tampa bachelor party:

Airbnb

I’d get an Airbnb somewhere in Hyde Park - preferably near Hyde Park village.

This puts you in a central location to downtown, Hyde Park, bars in Soho (nothing wrong with a Macdintons stop on a bachelor party), and a quick Uber to St Pete.

Plus, the Airbnbs in this area aren’t too expensive.

Dinner Night 1 - Meat Market

Let’s assume you get in Thursday night.

The first thing I would do is head to a dinner at Meat Market.

Very quick Uber from your Airbnb, best steakhouse in Tampa in my opinion, and it’s the perfect pregame spot for a few espresso martinis and a few shots.

Get the 8 oz New York Strip, the lobster mac, and a sushi roll…

And try not to fill up on steak before heading out.

(Wear nice pants, they have a strict dress code and won’t let you inside with shorts or ripped pants)

Party Night 1- M Bird

Thursday night at M Bird is the best scene in Tampa - it’s house night, and they bring in big DJs and it draws a huge crowd.

The bar is outside on a rooftop so you have fresh air, but it gets very packed…

I’d recommend getting bottle service + your own section, shouldn’t be more than $150-$200 per person if you have a big group.

Day 2

Assuming you’ll be hungover on Friday from the night before, nothing will cure you like a boat day.

Renting a pontoon with a captain is less than $400 for 2 hours, and this is the perfect afternoon activity before you get ready for the night.

This boat rental company is downtown, and you can get off and go right to a bar or dinner after.

Dinner Night 2 - American Social

American Social is a Tampa staple.

It was the first place I went to when I moved here, the food is fire, and it’s the best atmosphere for dinner since the restaurant is right on the water.

You’ll be right next to the restaurant when you get off the boat, so I’d bring clothes for the night on the boat ride.

Grab a burger, pregame with some drinks, then stick around at the bar after dinner until you’re ready to head out.

Party Night 2 - 511 / Soho

The best places to go out on the weekend are 511 Franklin, a 23+ bar - or Soho, a strip of college bars by your Airbnb.

511 is best if you get a table, but if you’d rather get a little greasy and bar hop, Soho will be a great time.

Can’t go wrong either way, just depends on how much you wanna spend on the night / if you wanna bounce around or stick to one bar.

MacDintons, Saloon, and Bar Hwrd are the best spots to go to in Soho.

Day 3

Alright, now you’re really down bad - it’s time to jump on the ferry to St. Pete.

The Cross Bay Ferry is one of the most fun things you can do on a Saturday afternoon in Tampa, and they serve drinks.

It departs Tampa at 1130, and you’ll be able to get to St Pete in time for brunch.

Once you’re in St. Pete, you have options…

You can stick around downtown, which has a ton of bars and restaurants you can go to…

Or, take a quick Uber to St. Pete Beach and hit Caddy’s or PCI for a good beach vibe.

Me personally, I’d wanna go to the beach and reconnect with nature for day 3 of the bender LOL

Dinner Night 3 - Good Fortune

Good Fortune is a very good sushi spot by all the bars in St. Pete.

Keep it light on the food, and it’s a good vibe before going out…

They have a DJ and it’s loud in there so you won’t be falling asleep for night 3!

Going Out Night 3 - Bar Hop in St Pete

For the last night of the weekend, I’d bar hop in St Pete- you’ve got 20+ to choose from.

Welcome to The Farm, Five Bucks, Goodnight Johnboy, Copper Shaker, My Rich Uncle.

Plenty of spots to choose from and bounce around to, and if you want to get a section I’d recommend The Farm or Johnboy.

By the end of the night you can Uber back to Tampa and question everything about your life as you check in for your flight LOL

Wrapping up

If I needed to plan 3 days in Tampa Bay, that’s the exact itinerary I’d follow…

How’d I do? Anything else to add or other places to hit?

If anyone reading this is planning a bachelor party or a Tampa trip, respond back to this email if you need more help planning!
